Policies
These policies apply to Weekend and Saturday packages.

To reserve your date, we require a 50% non-refundable retainer along with our signed rental contract. We accept cash or check for the retainer, and accept cash, check or credit card for the balance. There is a 3.5% convenience fee for the use of credit cards. The balance and taxes are due 90 days prior to your event, and are non-refundable. A separate, damage deposit of $500 is also due with the balance. The damage deposit amount is refundable, if no damage is done, and no excessive cleaning is required, 15 days after your event. Damage that exceeds $500 will be charged to client and due Pioneer Creek Farm.

Sales tax is not included and is an additional 5.5%.

There is no discount for "less" use of the property. For example, there is no credit for not making use of the entire time period, not holding a ceremony on the property, not using the chairs/tables provided, etc. There is no refund of the Vacation coupon. It is non-transferrable and expires one year from your event date.

Pioneer Creek Farm (PCF) is insured.

PCF includes a $100 Vacation gift certificate which can be used towards a condo rental in Panama City Beach through Two Salty DOGs, LLC! Reservation must be made within one year of wedding, for a stay within two years of wedding. It is non-transferrable. Click here for more information!

PCF staff will set-up initially, and take-down post event, all equipment provided by PCF (ie tables, chairs, etc). PCF staff is on site throughout your event to coordinate with you and your vendors, assist with parking, drive golf carts, assist with llama photos/hand-feeding, remove trash and maintain bathroom cleanliness during the event. PCF staff will not be responsible for catering or dinner service, table clearing, or décor set-up or take-down. PCF requests that you designate an Event Coordinator (friend/family/professional) for your event to handle communication with PCF staff during your event - so the bride and groom can just relax and enjoy their day!

The Bride's Room features a private restroom, air-conditioning, gorgeous wood-look stamped concrete floor, make-up/hair stations, and comfortable seating. The door has a keypad lock to keep items safe and the restroom private to a limited number of Bride's chosen guests. Bride's Room is accessible during the entire event. We do not provide a groom's room, but we do have suggested areas available for them to dress.

PCF provides indoor restrooms with running water and flushing toilets.

Weekend Packages have 5 consecutive hours of time on property to decorate, rehearse, fish and hold a rehearsal dinner on Friday, starting no earlier than 10am and ending no later than 9pm. Saturday, the bride's room opens at 8am and the grounds and barn open at noon. Bar closes at 10:30pm so everyone can get that last drink in hand before music ends at 11pm on Saturday. Sunday clear out is from 10:30am to noon.

Saturday Packages have the venue from 9am on Saturday until midnight, with the bar closing at 10:30pm so everyone can have that last drink in hand when the event closes at 11pm. (This time frame includes load-in, set-up and clear-out.) A one-hour rehearsal can be added on Friday for additional cost, or for free on Thursday.)

In accordance with new Wisconsin law as of November, 2023, Pioneer Creek Farm will be obtaining a liquor license as soon as the state makes them available - est Nov 2025. Have no fear, this is not the rumored beer/wine only license, but a full liquor license. Weddings currently booked for 2024 and 2025 will not be affected by this change, so signed contracts will be honored as is.

.

• For weddings in 2024 and 2025, Renter will need to use one of the bartending Vendors listed on PCF's Vendor page. Most have full packages where they serve and provide the alcohol, but many have packages where you can provide the alcohol they serve. Contact them for information.

• For weddings in 2026, all alcohol will need to be purchased through Pioneer Creek Farm, and served by Pioneer Creek Farm bartenders. Renter must obtain a host liquor liability insurance policy - which can be obtained, easily, online.

Renter assumes all liability for any and all consequences of alcohol consumption. This includes, but is not limited to, adverse health reactions, property damage and 3rd-party liability claims. Pioneer Creek Farm, LLC, its owners, personnel and insurance carriers are exempt from any and all liabilities that may result from serving alcohol at your event. PCF does reserve the right to have guests removed for unruly behavior.

Our maximum capacity is 50 for rehearsal dinner on Friday and maximum capacity of 200 on Saturday for the Weekend Package. We do allow Renter to go over 50 on Friday for a fee. For the Saturday package, our maximum capacity is 185.

There is a vendor staging area next to the barn which your caterer can use to make final preparations to the presentation of the food. PCF does not provide kitchen facilities. We ask all caterers new to PCF to visit the farm prior to your event, and we do charge a $100 paperwork fee if a new caterer is used.  If you choose to bring your own food, rather than use a caterer, we require you to obtain liability insurance (which is already included in a host liquor liability insurance policy if you plan to obtain one).

PCF supplies white padded folding chairs for outdoor ceremonies, and eclectic wooden chairs for use inside the barn. PCF will be responsible for set-up and take-down of the chairs PCF provides, to limit damage to PCF property. You are responsible for all set-up/re-staging/take down of seating/tables you rent from any outside vendor.

PCF supplies rectangular tables for the barn/patio. These are all folding tables that need to be covered. PCF has an 8' antique barn wood portable bar, a 42" round decorative table, and a 70" sideboard - all of which can be used for free and must remain inside the barn. PCF provides six whiskey barrel high tops, seating and a couple spool tables on our deck.

If the weather is inclement, PCF can move your ceremony into the covered pavilion at no charge. You can also move your ceremony into the barn at no charge, as long as guests sit at tables. If you choose to have the guests sit in rows (without tables) inside the barn, PCF charges a fee for the labor involved in turning over the barn from ceremony to dinner seating. There is no fee for PCF to move tables/chairs to create a dance floor.

We do provide parking on site, and PCF staff assists with parking. All vehicles must be removed from the property by noon on Sunday.

PCF provides a hay wagon pulled by a tractor for optional rental. PCF provides the driver for the hay wagon tractor. Gratuity for driver is not included.

PCF includes the use of one staff-driven golf cart on Saturday. If the guest count is over 125, we highly recommend the rental of our second staff-driven golf cart for at least the hour prior to the ceremony.

We do not allow the use of candles or flames inside the barn or on the deck, with the exception of catering/buffet service. There is no smoking inside the barns, on the deck, or on the grounds unless in the assigned smoking area. A smoking area will be provided and we request it be used to avoid fire hazards and littering.

Fireworks, Tiki torches, candle flames and released lanterns are not permitted. Sparklers are permitted, but must be coordinated with PCF staff. There is a bonfire pit available. Wood must be purchased from PCF.

Yes! There are hotels close to the property, in Lomira and Fond du Lac. Lomira is a 5-minute drive from the farm. Fond du Lac is a 15-minute drive. See Vendor page for recommendations.

Bride and Groom may have their Engagement Pictures taken at PCF anytime between the signing of the contract and the date of the wedding. The only limitation is that from May through October, due to weddings taking place on the grounds, pictures may only be taken Sunday through Wednesday. Please contact PCF to get on the calendar.

PCF provides a small kitchen-sized refrigerator, freezer and cold water from our well. Ice is not provided.

We do have electricity (200 amp), but we are not responsible for circumstances beyond our control. Our rustic facility does not have heat or air conditioning. We have back-up generators for limited power.

You may decorate the barn, grounds, pergola, etc. as long as there is no permanent damage. For example, we do not allow the use of staples, tacks, nails or duct tape. Glitter, loose fake petals, confetti, or other such artificial materials may not be used on the grounds or inside any facilities. We also do not permit "sixlet" type chocolates. When in doubt, please ask, which is the best way to see the return of your damage deposit.

PCF is not liable for lost or stolen items.

Live music is welcome, however we need to respect our neighbors, so excessively loud entertainment is not permitted.

All guests and vendors must adhere to posted Venue boundaries and private area signage.

Farmers tend to their fields at the mercy of the weather - sun, rain, temperature, etc. - and not at the mercy of PCF or its guests. In other words, this authentic country setting may have ambient farm noises, smells, insects, etc. which are beyond our control.

We have three llamas! Olaf (white male, b. 2015), Pico (dark brown male, b. 2015), and Jill (who was twin to Jack, b. 2015). I've been told there are only 9 sets of registered twins in the U.S.!! Update: Jack is no longer with us. They are well-mannered, and will eat PCF-provided pellets from your hand or provided buckets! Please do not feed them without staff assistance.

Our 4 ponds are stocked with bass, perch and bluegill. We welcome and encourage your guests to fish if you want to incorporate that into your wedding festivities. You will need to provide your own poles/worms. We require non-barbed hooks for catch and release. We do not permit live fish bait.
